Eternal Father, in whom mercy is endless, and the treasury of compassion inexhaustable, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your Holy Will, which is love and mercy itself. - I am pushing 40, a father of nine children, happily married, happily Roman Catholic, extremely good looking and modest to a fault. Okay, maybe I'm not so good looking. But nine kids has to count for something. Seriously, I am a missionary at St. Luke's Mission of Mercy, a Catholic mission in the heart of the impoverished east side of the city of Buffalo, New York. I am a registered nurse in an inner-city hospital, as well. Yes, nine kids. Five girls, four boys, two cats, no sanity.
